Before Anyone Is Listening

One of the strangest things about starting something new is that for a long time, nobody knows you're doing it.

It feels a little like living in secret. Like you're carrying around this whole new world that no one else can see yet.

Before there are listeners, there are drafts. Pages and pages of notes. Unanswered questions. Possibilities.

Before there are downloads, there are late nights spent learning things you never expected to learn. Early mornings disappearing down rabbit holes that seem worlds away from anything you ever noticed even existed.

Before there is momentum, there is often a quiet space where you're simply choosing to put one foot in front of the next.

Is this worth pursuing?

I've spent the last several months building Soul Trip knowing there is no guarantee anyone will ever listen. Recording. Editing. Writing. Questioning. Learning. Growing.

And maybe that's true of most meaningful things in life.

We celebrate the launch, the finish line, and most of all, the success story. But very little attention gets paid to the space in between. The void. The quiet. The moments before anyone can even begin paying attention.

It's a place where belief has to come before proof.

A place where you're creating something because it matters deeply to you, even though there is no evidence that it matters to anyone else… yet.

So here I am.

Not at the finish line.

Not even really at the starting line.

Somewhere in the in-between of it all.

Building something quietly that I believe in and trusting that the right people will find it when they're meant to.

Maybe that's what courage looks like.

Or at least what it feels like to me.

No certainty. No promises.

Just the feeling that if I don't try, this special part of me doesn't even have a chance to exist.

And that feels lonelier than failure ever could.

So here's to the dreamers, the builders, the creators, and anyone standing in that quiet space between an idea and its welcome to the world.

Here's to the willingness to keep going before anyone is listening.
